Box Score Staten Island, NY---In a tale of two halves, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team dropped their first CUNYAC game of the season at the College of Staten Island, 72-56. Brooklyn moves to 11-3 overall and 7-1 in CUNYAC. CSI improves to 12-4 and 7-1 in the conference. Wrapping up the front-end of their conference schedule this afternoon, the Bulldogs reamain on the road in CUNYAC at Hunter on Wednesday, January 18. The Bulldogs defeated the Hawks last time around, 64-53, at home.
Trailing 45-17 at halftime, the Bulldogs outscored the Dolphins by twelve points in the second half, but the first half hole proved to be too deep for BC to climb out of. Lauren D'Agostino closed out the third period with a three-point with six seconds remaining to cut the CSI lead 55-37 heading into the final period. The Bulldogs knocked down five threes in the third period.
Brooklyn threatened in final period, cutting the Dolphin lead to as few as twelve points on two separate occasions, but wouldn't be able to get any closer. An
Olivia Colbert free throw make cut the CSI lead to 65-53 with 1:49 left in the game.
The Dolphins shot an efficient 42.1% (8-19) from behind the arc as a team. CSI was led by Christina Pasaturo's game-high 30 points while shooting 6-9 from long-range on the afternoon.
