New York, NY---The Brooklyn College women's volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 (25-7, 25-18, 25-6) sweep of Yeshiva University this afternoon for its third straight win.  BC improves to 13-6 overall with the non-conference victory while YU dropped to 1-8.  The Bulldogs are the road on Wednesday, October 17, at the College of St. Elizabeth.  

Led by senior outside hitter Michaela Appel's 11 kills and six digs while hitting .500, the Bulldogs served up 19 aces for the match.  Sophomore outside hitter finished with an astounding seven service aces on the afternoon.  

Already leading 6-3 to start the match, the Bulldogs rallied for nine straight scores before the Macs were able to respond.  Brooklyn closed out the first set with eight straight points.

The home team kept the second set closer.  With Yeshiva leading the Bulldogs 14-11, Brooklyn rallied for nine straight scores for the 20-14 advantage.  Freshman outside hitter, Eugenia Ossadtchaia, closed out the second with a kill.  She would finish with five kills for the match.  

Brooklyn jumped out to a 9-2 lead to start the third set and never looked back.  The Bulldogs ended the match with a five point rally including a pair kills put away by Appel assisted by sophomore setter, Claudia Moi.  Moi finished the day with a match-high 12 assists.  Freshman setter, Ezri Shor, also reached double-figures in assists with 11.
