Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Bulldogs Women's Basketball team won their second straight, and fourth out of their last five on Friday night, defeating visiting CCNY, 78-38, at West Quad. Brooklyn improves to 8-6 on the season (5-1 CUNYAC), while CCNY falls to 8-6 (4-3 CUNYAC).
How it Happened
- After a closely contested first quarter in which Brooklyn claimed a 17-13 advantage, the Bulldogs opened the second quarter with a 15-0 run, claiming a 32-13 lead, after which the game was never in question.
- During the run, reserve, Grace Martinez-Espina, hit three three-pointers, keying the BC attack.
- Brooklyn was able to tally 18 steals, including 5 from freshman Kayla Trembone.
- The Bulldogs also out-rebounded the Beavers 51-32 on the evening.
