Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Bulldogs fell for the first time in conference play on Monday evening, dropping a 58-55 decision to Staten Island, in a rematch of the CUNYAC championship game the previous two seasons.
How it Happened
-Brooklyn saw early foul trouble lead to a halftime deficit of 3 points, which the Bulldogs quickly erased in the second half, as they started the third quarter on a 17-3 run, to take a 46-35 lead with just under two minutes remaining in the period.
-Brooklyn went cold in the fourth, as they couldn't score in the first 3:07, allowing the Dolphins to creep back in the contest with a 5-0 run of their own. After two
Jasmine Hansgen free throws, to extend the lead back to 5, however CSI went on a 9-4 run to tie the game, capped by a Diana Todaro layup with 1:40 remaining.

Alexandra Moogan was able to reclaim the lead for the Bulldogs with 1:15 remaining, but CSI answered back with a Brianna Robisky basket. Brooklyn got good looks from Moogan and
Grace Martinez-Espina, but couldn't convert, and were forced to foul. After two makes, Brooklyn got two different chances to tie the game on three pointers from
Michelle Pena and Moogan, but couldn't knock either down.
Leading the Bulldogs
-Moogan led the team with 13 pionts, while
Taylor George scored 12.
-All eight players that suited up for BC got in the scoring column.
