Box Score Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball Team won their third straight contest to start 2023, taking a 75-62 decision over visiting Baruch, to improve to a perfect 4-0 in CUNYAC play (7-7 overall). The Bearcats Fall to 8-7, 2-2 CUNYAC. Next Up: Brooklyn continues their conference schedule at home against Hunter College on Friday, 1/13, at the West Quad Center at 5pm. Â
The Rundown
- Back-and-forth to start the game, the Bulldogs trailed 12-10 with 3:43 to go in the first quarter before grabbing the lead for good on a 9-0 run highlighted by a made three buried by sophomore forward, Mary Dolgin. Brooklyn continued to control the tempo through the second quarter, leading by as many as 20 points before taking a 43-28 halftime lead. Â
- The Bearcats put up a fight in the third quarter, cutting the Brooklyn lead down to 53-49 at the 2:18 mark. However, the Bulldogs closed out the quarter on an 8-0 run.Â
- Brooklyn maintained a comfortable advantage through the final quarter, leading by as many as 18 points in last five minutes of play. Â
- The Bulldogs out-rebounded Baruch 18-9 on the offensive boards on the night, outscoring the Bearcats 13-4 in second chance points.Â
- Brooklyn capitalized on 19 Baruch turnovers for 28 points. Â
