Brooklyn, NY---On May 6th at LIU-Brooklyn, the 2nd Annual My City Alumni Classic will take place, featuring five basketball games featurig CUNYAC alumni on both the men's and women's side. The Bulldogs will be well represented on both sides, as many outstanding alumni will be competing this year, including current Brooklyn basketball coaches
Jeffrey Jean-Baptiste and Megan Campbell, in addition to York men's basketball head coach and former Brooklyn standout, Jamel Gist.

The My City Alumni Classic is an annual sporting event celebrating former New York City college basketball players. My City features 10 basketball teams, with each team consisting of alums players from their respective New York City college, competing in both women's and men's contests. My City Alumni Classic was established in the spirit of fostering intergenerational connections within each college's alumni base and across New York City.
The BC women will take on John Jay, and will be coached by former assistant coach Stan Fevrine. Priscilla Ramirez, a former first team CUNYAC performer is the team's veteran, as she is class of 2010, while Karen Mak, who graduated in 2018 is the most recent BC grad. Brittany Bowen, Tiffany Thompson, Amber Gordon, Nicole Francomano, Megan Campbell, Ariel Smith, Olivia Colbert, Elisha Raiford, and Nacirema Mann round out the star-studded lineup.
Brittany Bowen, who was a first-team all-star for the Bulldogs, leading the team to a 24-7 record in 2012-13, and served as an assistant coach for three seasons, including the 17-18 championship run, is excited to be back on the court showcasing her talents at the My City Alumni Classic. ""It's hard to replicate our college playing days but the energy and excitement of last year's My City Alumni Classic really brought me back. It was great connecting with players from years before and after me and I'm looking forward to getting on the court again on May 6th!"
Bowen is currently an Assistant Program Director with Breaking Ground, overseeing the street homeless outreach program in Brooklyn. She earned her bachelor's in exercise science from Brooklyn and then decided to take a different career path, earning her degree as a Licensed Master Social Worker from Hunter College. Bowen has also taking on running after college, impressively completing four marathons.
Nicole Francomano, a teammate of Bowen's on the 12-13 squad, was a four-year point guard for Brooklyn, and a member of the Bulldogs' 1,000 point club. Francomano also is only Bulldog to top the 500 assist mark during her career. She was an explosively fast guard who helped the Bulldogs transition game transform into one of the most exciting in the region. "I am honored to be a part of the My City Alumni Classicfor the second year," said Francomano. "This event brings together so many former athletes who all value this tremendous opportunity to play the game that we love once again. I am loooking forward to aking the court with someo fo my former teammates and other Brooklyn alumni that I have been fortunate enough to form bonds with."
Francomano, a 2015 graduate, went on to earn a master's degree from Adelphi in the same subject she studied at Brooklyn, Speech Pathology, and is currently working in the New York City Department of Education as a speec pathologist, at PS 127 in Brooklyn. The Staten Island native was a fan-favorite during her time with Brooklyn, and was tremendously successful, leading the Bulldogs to a 90-27 record during her four seasons.
The Brooklyn men, who will take on Lehman, have Jason Fulford, a 2005 grad as their veteran member, while Enees Nikovic, a 2017 grad is their most recent Bulldog. Jamel Gist, Jai Kellman, Kavon Baker,
Jeffrey Jean-Baptiste, Damek Mair, Jamel Evans, and Abdul Lanlokun round out the talented Men's roster.
"My City gave me a chance to rekindle with my teammates and give us an opportunity to play in front of fans, family and friends," said Jai Kellman, the MVP of Brooklyn's game last year at the My City Alumni Classic. Kellman, who is currently a physical education teacher at Achievement First Elementary School, was a dynamic player for the Bulldogs, scoring 828 points in two seasons, after transferring in from Lincoln University.
