Brooklyn College Athletics

The midfielder started his junior season off with a bang for the month of September, scoring 14 Bulldogs on seven goals.  He helped the Bulldogs to a 5-5-1 record for the month including a 2-0-1 mark against CUNYAC competition.  He would be named CUNYAC Player of the Week primarily for his hat trick effort at Purchase on 9/21 in a 4-2 BC victory.  During that same week, he scored two goals in an 8-2 win against York.  Earlier in the month, Ortiz was named to the All-Tournament team following the Bulldogs' split at the Alfred University Alumni Classic 9/10-11.
