Junior defender Jean Menesky Magloire (Clara Barton / Brooklyn, NY) is in his first season as a member of the Brooklyn College Men’s Soccer Team, but had lots of success as an all-region performer at SUNY Cobleskill. In his first month with BC, he has made quite an impression on his teammates and opposition alike. Magloire’s energetic and intelligent style of play, coupled with his natural leadership skills, have made him one of the leaders of the squad. Against then-undefeated York College, Magloire provided a highlight reel caliber play, as he stole an errant pass from a York defender at the top of the penalty box and converted the opportunity into a Brooklyn goal, setting the stage for a 2-0 triumph. Head Coach David McLaughlin calls Magloire “the driving force of talent and athletic ability for the entire team. We feed off his energy and his athleticism.” Magloire, who is known by friends and teammates as “Menesky”, resides in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn.
