Stephanie Caravello Named Brooklyn College Female Student-Athlete of the Month for December
Junior Stephanie Caravello has been a key member of the Brooklyn College Women’s Swimming & Diving team over her three-year career.
During the month of December, Caravello posted two first place finishes and two third place finishes in BC’s two meets during the month of December.
Coming on December 5th against the College of Staten Island, Caravello was the first to touch the wall in the 100-Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:15.10. She came in third place in both the 200-Yard IM and the 100-Yard Breaststroke, with times of 2:53.09 and 1:33.07, respectively.
In Brooklyn’s second and final meet of the month, Caravello came in first place in the 200-Yard IM with a time of 3:00.71, to help the Bulldogs to a 74-65 win. With the meet at hand, Caravello swam the 100-Yard Backstroke as an exhibition and was a member of the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay, which was also swum as an exhibition.
Her times of 1:20.52 (100 Back) and 2:07.98 (200 Free Relay) would have been good for first place in both events.
Caravello is also a member of the BC Softball team and excels in the classroom with a 3.98 GPA as an Exercise Science major.
For her efforts during the month of December, Stephanie Caravello has been named the Brooklyn College Female Student-Athlete of the Month.
