New York, NY---At the annual CUNYAC Basketball Press Luncheon at the Water Club in Manhattan, the Brooklyn College senior duo of
Priscilla Ramirez (FDR / Brooklyn, NY) and
Frances Lyons (James Madison / Brooklyn, NY) were each named to the All-Conference First Team.
For Ramirez, this is the second consecutive season she has received the honor, as she was named to the first team a year ago. Ramirez ranked among the league leaders in points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, free throw percentage and three-point field goal percentage, and also knocked down two last-second shots to help her team get two key overtime wins.
Lyons had a great season for the Bulldogs as well, leading the team with 15.9 points and 9.4 rebounds per game, as well as leading the entire conference with 55% shooting from the field. In addition, Lyons was a two-time CUNYAC Player of the Week award winner.
"I am proud for them both as they have truly had great senior seasons," said Brooklyn Coach
Alex Lang. "We would not have had the season that we accomplished if it were not for the play of Priscilla and Frances."
