Men’s Volleyball Downs Medgar Evers in Straight Sets

Box Score Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Volleyball team swept the Cougars of Medgar Evers College on Thursday night, 3-0 (25-8, 25-10, 25-13), in City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) action at the Cougars Cave on the campus of Medgar Evers.

With the win, BC improves to an even 7-7 overall on the season and 3-1 in the CUNYAC; while Medgar Evers falls to 0-6 overall on the year and 0-4 in conference play.

The Bulldogs made quick work of the Cougars hitting an impressive .417 (28 kills/eight errors/48 total attacks) to go along with 19 service aces. Junior Vaughn Ford led the way with six kills and seven aces.

Juniors Lucas Moline (4 kills), David Dimitruk (3 kills) and sophomores Jianjun Ruan (3 kills) and Kevin Barros (3 kills) all contributed to the offense. Sophomore Hoyin Ki dished out 19 assists, to go with four aces.

Brooklyn will return to action on Thursday, February 27th, as the Bulldogs will host the Hawks of Hunter College in CUNYAC action. The match is scheduled for a 6:00 pm start time.
