Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's & Men's Basketball teams will be in action this week in the semifinal rounds of the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Basketball Championships, presented by Army ROTC.
The BC Women will take on the College of Staten Island at 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 24th at Nat Holman Gymnasium on the campus of The City College of New York (CCNY). The winner will advance to the championship final on Friday, February 27th at 6:00 pm, also at CCNY.
The BC Men will take on Lehman College at 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 25th at Nat Holman Gym. The winner will advance to the championship final on Friday the 27th at 8:30 pm at CCNY.

How They Got HereThe BC Women's Basketball team earned the #2 seed by virtue of its 14-2 record in CUNYAC play. The Bulldogs defeated #7 York College, 69-54, in their quarterfinals round matchup to punch its ticket to the semifinals round for a fifth straight season.
Seniors
Megan Campbell (21 points and 12 rebounds) and
Vanessa D'Ambrosi (17 points and 13 rebounds) led the way for BC.
Staten Island earned the #3 seed following a 12-4 record in conference play. The Dolphins defeated #6 John Jay College, 65-55, in their quarterfinals round meeting to advance to Tuesday's semifinals round.
Christina Pasaturo, the 2015 CUNAYC Rookie of the Year, was one of four Dolphins in double figures with a team-high 15 points. Victoria Crea (14 points), Alyssa Carlsen (11 points) and Megan Myhre (10 points) all finished the game in double-digit scoring.
The Bulldogs swept the regular season series against CSI and will look to make it three-straight over the Dolphins as Brooklyn looks to return to the conference final for a third time in four years.
How They Got Here The BC Men's Basketball team earned the #2 seed after posting a 12-4 record in the CUNYAC. The Bulldogs defeated #7 John Jay, 83-68, in their quarterfinals round game to make their fifth semifinals appearance over the last seven seasons.
Jai Kellman led all scorers with 23 points, while
Lorenzo Williams (19 points) and
Valon Djombalic (16 points and 10 rebounds) also made strong contributions.
Egzon Gjonbalaj had a near triple-double, finishing the day with 10 assists, nine points and seven rebounds.
Lehman earned the #3 seed after going 12-4 in league play. Since Lehman and Brooklyn split their regular season meeting, BC earned the tie-breaker due to splitting the season series against top seed Baruch, while Baruch swept Lehman in the regular season.
The Lightning avoided a near upset in their quarterfinals round match against #6 Hunter, as Lehman edged out a 79-77 win to survive and advance into the semifinals round at CCNY.
Lehman had five players score in double-figures, including four starters, as the tri of Chaun Miller, John Brens and Jonathan Greenfield all finished with 14 points apiece. Olando Minott added 11 points, while Jerrome Jones chipped in with 10 points off the bench. Brens hit a pair of free throws with seven seconds left to break the 77-77 tie and lift the Lightning over the Hawks and into the semifinals.
Brooklyn and Lehman split their regular season meetings with each team winning on their home floor. The third installment will occur on a neutral court with the winner advancing to the championship final. BC is in search of its third championship final appearance since 2009, while Lehman will look to return to the final for the first time since 2004.
