Brooklyn, NY --- It will be a Brooklyn & Baruch Championship double-header on Friday, February 27th at Nat Holman Gymnasium on the campus of The City College of New York (CCNY), as the #2 seeded Brooklyn College Women will take on the #1 seeded Baruch College Women; while the #2 seeded Brooklyn College Men will take on the top seeded Baruch College Men in the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Men's & Women's Basketball Championships, presented by Army ROTC.
The Women's Final is set for a 6:00 pm start time, while the Men's Final will follow with a scheduled tip-off time of 8:30 pm. If you can't make it to the games, both games will be streamed live nationally online via ESPN3. Live stats and audio courtesy of Brooklyn College Radio (WBCR) will also be available.
The winners will advance to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Road to the Championship - WomenBrooklyn defeated #7 York College, 68-54, in the quarterfinals round and then #3 College of Staten Island, 69-57, in the semifinals round to reach the CUNYAC Championship game for a third time in the last four years.
Seniors
Megan Campbell, a 2015 CUNYAC First Team All-Star and 2015 Capital One/CoSIDA Academic Third-Team All-American, and
Vanessa D'Ambrosi, a 2015 CUNYAC Second Team All-Star, have powered the Bulldogs through the conference tournament, as both players are averaging 18.5 points-per-game through the two games. Campbell is averaging a double-double in the CUNYAC Championships, as she is averaging 10.0 rebounds per game, while D'Amrbosi is collecting 9.0 rebounds per game.
Senior
Asia Foster is also averaging 10.0 rpg, to go with 7.5 ppg, while classmate
Nicole Francomano is dishing out 6.5 assists-per-game and also adding 6.5 ppg and 3.0 steals and rebounds-per-game.
Freshman
Chrissy Heyer (6.5 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 4.0 apg) and senior
Nacirema Mann (5.0 ppg and 4.5 rpg) have also made solid contributions to Brooklyn's run to the championship game.
The Bearcats defeated #8 CCNY, 104-61, in the quarterfinals and #5 Hunter College, 70-44, in the semifinals round to reach its 10th straight championship final appearance. Baruch has been the powerhouse of the conference, as the Bearcats have won seven straight CUNYAC titles.
The Bearcats are led by their trio of CUNYAC First Team All-Stars in Sheridan Taylor, Francess Henry and Iyana Abrams, as well as CUNYAC Coach of the Year KellyAnn Barrett.
Baruch swept Brooklyn during the regular season and has knocked the Bulldogs out of the conference tournament three straight seasons.
Road to the Championship – MenBrooklyn defeated #7 seeded John Jay College, 83-68, in the quarterfinals round and then #3 seeded Lehman College, 80-70, in the semifinals round to reach its first CUNYAC championship final since 2010.
CUNYAC First Team All-Stars juniors
Lorenzo Williams and
Egzon Gjonbalaj have led the Bulldogs to their third conference final appearance since 2008-2009. Williams is averaging 20.0 ppg, to go along with 7.5 rpg, while Gjonbalaj is averaging 15.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg and 6.5 apg.
Seniors
Valon Djombalic (16.0 ppg and 8.5 rpg) and
Jai Kellman (13.0 ppg) and junior
Jamel Gist (7.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg and 3.0 apg) have all made solid contributions throughout the tournament to have the Bulldogs in a positon to capture its fourth CUNYAC championship in program history.
The Bearcats defeated #8 CCNY, 72-55, and #5 York, 52-50, to reach its first CUNYAC Final since 2009.
The 2015 final will be a rematch of that 2009 CUNYAC Championship game that saw Brooklyn defeat Baruch, 89-69.
The Bearcats, led by CUNYAC Coach of the Year, John Alesi, are paced by CUNYAC First Team All-Star Granville Gittens and Second Team All-Star Edward Roscigno, as well as CUNYAC Rookie of the Year Chimaechi Ekekeugbor.
Baruch and Brooklyn split their regular season meetings this year with each team winning on their home court. The rubber game will be played on a neutral court with the winner receiving the CUNYAC's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament.
