Box Score 2 New York, NY---The Brooklyn men's volleyball team fell in a couple of CUNYAC matches today, falling to host, Hunter, in the morning 0-3 (9, 12, 26-28) and losing to York 1-3 (18-25, 13-25, 25-16, 18-25). The Bulldogs drop down to 5-13 overall on the season and 2-7 in the CUNYAC.
In the early match against Hunter, the Bulldogs took a little while to warm, improving as the match went on but unable to avoid the sweep. Sophomore captain
Rudy Zhao led the way with 15 kills. Freshman setter
Sayuj Zachariah assisted on 18 kills in the match.
Falling to York for the second time this season, the Bulldogs managed a win the third game, but the 0-2 hole was too much to climb out of in their second match of the day. Zhao would once again lead BC with 11 kills and 15 digs. Freshman outside hitter
Vaughn Titus finished with nine kills and 12 digs. Moaz Choudhary had seven blocks in the match. Zachariah had another standout performance finishing with 25 assists.
The Bulldogs return to the court on Monday at home to host Whittenburg. Opening serve is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
