Brooklyn, NY---Playing for the first time in program history at the Barclays Center this afternoon, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team outlasted Fairleigh Dickinson Florham, 73-56, for the non-conference win. BC improves to 5-3 overall with the victory while FDU-Florham drops to 2-7. The Bulldogs will look to keep their momentum going at Old Westbury this Friday, December 13, in their last game in the first semester.
Game Summary
-Comfortable on the professional court from the opening tip-off, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first 3:30 of the contest. The Devils would eventually reach the board with 5:33 left in the first period.
-The Devils battled back, ending the opening period with a 7-0 run to cut BC's lead to 20-17. FDU continued their push, taking their first and only lead of the game, 23-22, with 6:05 left in the first half. BC would retake the lead on a three buried by freshman guard,
Ericka James at the 5:12 mark.
-With the game tied, 25-25, the Bulldogs took the lead for good thanks in part to a 10-5 run, heading into halftime with a 38-32 advantage.
-BC came out of the break with a 7-0 run sparked by a three splashed by freshman forward,
Sarah James. The Devils were able to cut the Bulldog lead to as few as seven points with 2:15 left in the third, but Brooklyn responded with a 7-0 run capped by a
Dasha Goodman three-point make.
-Brooklyn continued to cruise in the fourth quarter, leading by as many as 20 points with 3:35 left in regulation.
-Six BC players reached double-figures in scoring.
-The Bulldogs got a big push from senior guard, Kaylin Richburg, who finished with 10 points in 18 minutes off the bench.
-BC outrebounded the Devils, 21-8 on the offensive boards for the game. The Bulldogs outscored FDU, 19-6, in second-chance points.

-Despite early foul trouble, junior forward,
Chanel Jemmott, scored a game-high 16 points and grabbed five rebounds in 20 minutes of action.

Ericka James added 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Taylor George, and
Sarah James chipped in ten points apiece to go along with seven rebounds each.
