Old Westbury, NY---Paced by junior forward Chanel Jemmott's 20 points and 14 rebounds, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team rolled to a 73-58 non-conference win at SUNY Old Westbury this evening for their second straight victory.  BC improves to 6-3 with the win while the Panthers drop to 4-5.  Tonight's win wraps up BC's first semester slate.  Next up, the Bulldogs return home to host New York University on Friday, January 3, at 5pm.  

Game Summary

-Leading 35-30 at halftime, the Bulldogs outscored the Panthers by ten points in the third quarter to take control of the game.  Brooklyn continued to cruise in the final period, leading by as many as 22 points.  
-With the game tied, 6-6, the Bulldogs went on a 9-0 run sparked by four straight points scored by freshman guard, Dasha Goodman.  
-Brooklyn grabbed a 23-12 lead after two Ericka James makes at the free-throw line with 8:56 to go in the first half.  Old Westbury would then go on a 10-0 run to pull within a point of BC before Brooklyn senior guard, Kailyn Richburg, snapped the rally with a make in the paint.  
-BC's bench outscored the Panthers' 21-1 for the game.  
-Brooklyn out-rebounded OW 25-17 on the offensive boards.
-The Bulldogs held the Panthers to 1-7 shooting from beyond the arc for the game.  

Leading the Bulldogs

-Jemmott picked up her fifth double-double of the season with her game-high in points and rebounds.  
-Junior guard, Taylor George, added 14 points and came up with a game-high six steals. 
-Richburg finished with 10 points off of the bench for the second straight game.  

Leading the Panthers

-Davida Warren scored a team-high 16 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. 
-Ja'nya Flash also notched a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
