Brooklyn, NY----Announced by the City University of New York Athletic Conference on Monday, Brooklyn College freshman catcher, Katelyn Young, has been named the conference's Softball Rookie of the Week.  Young helped Brooklyn to a 3-3 record last week including a pair of conference splits against teams in the top-three in the CUNYAC standings.  

Young went 7-20 including 5-12 against CUNYAC opponents for the week.  On Wednesday, she hit a grand-slam to give Brooklyn the lead for good in their conference victory over Baruch at home. In Monday's 11-5 win against Hunter on the road, she went 2-4, scored twice and had a pair of RBI.

The Bulldogs close out the regular season in conference play at home against York College on Monday, May 4, with the doubleheader on Senior Day beginning at 4pm.
