Miguel Veliz-Fitz Named Brooklyn College Male Student-Athlete of the Month – October
Junior Miguel Veliz-Fitz had a stellar individual performance for the Brooklyn College Men’s Soccer team during the month of October, starting in all eight of BC’s games in the month, while scoring five of the Bulldogs’ 14 goals.
Coming against Berkeley College on October 3rd, Veliz-Fitz helped erase a two-goal first half deficit for Brooklyn, netting two second half goals en route to a 2-2 tie.
On October 5th against City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) rival, Veliz-Fitz once again came through for the Bulldogs, notching the lone BC goal in a 1-1 tie.
Overall for the month, Veliz-Fitz accounted for five goals and one assist for 11 points.
For his efforts, Miguel Veliz-Fitz has been named the Brooklyn College Male Student-Athlete of the Month, for the month for October 2011.
