Box Score Rosemont, NY---Scoring the first bucket of the game and never looking back, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team rolled to a 97-64 win at Rosemont College this evening in the Bulldogs' 2019-20 Season Opener.  Highlighting the non-conference victory was senior guard, Kailyn Richburg, surpassing 1,000 points for her college career between her two seasons at LaGuardia Community College and her career so far at BC.  Rosemont, an NCAA Tournament qualifier last season, drops to 1-1 with the non-conference loss.  The Bulldogs will look to keep it going this weekend in the Alvernia University Tip-Off Tournament where the Bulldogs will take on Adrian College on Saturday at 3pm.  

Game Summary
-Needing three points to reach 1,000 for her career, Richburg scored an efficient four points in seven minutes of action.  
-Thirteen Bulldogs scored on the night including four players that reached double-figures. 
-Jumping out to a 7-1 lead to start the game, the Bulldogs went on a scoring frenzy to take a 28-14 lead by the end of the opening period. 
-The Bulldogs continued to cruise through the first half, grabbing a 48-31 lead at the break. 
-BC ended the game with their largest lead of the contest. 
-The Bulldogs shot just under 42% as a team to Rosemont's 30% from the floor. 

Leading the Bulldogs
-Junior forward, Chanel Jemmott, dominated the competition finishing 30 points and 19 rebounds. She also blocked three shots. 
-Junior guard, Taylor George and freshman guard, Ericka James, chipped in 14 points a piece while freshman guard, Dasha Goodman, added 13 points.  
-Freshman forward, Sarah James, grabbed seven boards in her collegiate debut. 

Leading the Ravens
-Ke'Alohilani Naone-Carter poured in 30 points while shooting 4-5 from beyond the arc. She also grabbed nine rebounds.  
-Jordan Dawson added 13 points.
