Brooklyn, NY----Announced by the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) on Monday, freshman middle, Matthew Kadatskiy, was named Rookie of the Week and junior outside hitter,
Aaron Siu, received an Honorable Mention with the release of this week's conference awards. The duo helped Brooklyn to a 2-0 mark on the week in a trimatch at home on Saturday.
Kadatskiy finished with a career-high 12.5 points on 6 kills, 6 service aces, and a block assist in Brooklyn's 3-0 win over Penn State Schuylkill on Saturday. He added 6 more kills to his day and had another block assist in two sets played in a 3-0 victory over St. Elizabeth to close out the Bulldogs' home trimatch.
Siu totaled 13 kills, 15 digs, and 5 service aces in a pair of Brooklyn victories on Saturday in a home trimtach. In three sets played against Penn State Schuylkill, he put away 8 kills while hitting .313, came up with 8 digs, and served up a pair of aces in Brooklyn's 3-0 win. He closed out the week with 5 kills, 3 aces, and 7 digs in two sets played in a 3-0 win over St. Elizabeth.
The Bulldogs return to action at home in conference play on Tuesday, March 2, against Baruch at 6pm at the West Quad Center.
